Being naive when I first got started on my diet, one of the first questions I pondered was what are the best supplements for weight loss. Obviously, focusing more on nutrition and exercise is where the focus should be. However, there are some highly recommended supplements that could make a world of a difference with your weight loss efforts. Take a little time out of your day to learn more....

Okay my friend, first things first. Please make sure that you include supplements into your diet for what their given name is for... "supplementing"... NOT replacing. Proper nutrition should be your primary goal as far as providing your body with all the nutrients it needs. Supplements are great since they are a perfect compliment to a good well balanced diet.

Okay, now what are the best supplements for weight loss?

1. Multivitamin - Taking a multivitamin is a great way to ensure that you are getting your daily required intake of vitamins and minerals. There are several different kinds of multivitamins out there. You have those for seniors, children, women, men, active/sport, etc. The multivitamin that I take is mainly for active men who are into weight training (a lot of BCAA's, glutamine, and other important nutrients are included in my multi-vitamin pack).

2. Fish Oil - The next supplement I recommend is fish oil. Fish oil contains the healthy fats (monounsaturated, Omega 3 fatty acids, etc.) that our bodies need for heart health, and they will help in ensuring proper metabolization of body fat.

3. Green Tea Extract - Green tea extract increases your metabolism and will help in burning off fat. Besides it's weight loss and fat burning capabilities, it also contains many other health benefits such as helping to fight against cancer, heart complications, and so much more!

Well, there you have it. Those are my top 3 supplements that helped me with losing weight a whole lot more quicker. Not to mention, they also improved my overall health.

There are a few more supplements that I take that I would like to give an honorable mention to as they also will help you with your overall health. Those supplements are Chromium, Vitamin C, Protein shakes, and BCAA (for building and repairing muscle tissue).

Just remember that supplementation is exactly what the name implies... supplementation. Don't avoid eating fruits and veggies just because you take a multi--vitamin, and don't assume it's okay to eat fatty foods because you take Fish Oil and Green Tea Extract (which will help in metabolizing fat). Proper nutrition is the backbone of any successful weight loss, fat loss, or muscle building plan. If you are not eating properly, it's going to be extremely difficult and near impossible to get the results you want.
